Caitlin Brock is in her 8th year of teaching and her 2nd year as the director of the South High School Bands. Mrs. Brock received her Bachelor of Music Education from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA, and her Masters of Music Education from the American Band College of Central Washington University. Prior to teaching at South High, she established the first band program at Firebaugh High School in Lynwood, CA. Over her first six years of teaching, she equipped the band room with instruments and grew the program from zero to over 100 band students in three levels of concert band classes, jazz band, and marching band. She elevated the campus culture and community with vibrant performances and community outreach events. She is now taking the South High Marching Band and Color Guard to the next level of musical excellence by promoting an elite, safe, and fun learning environment for her students.
